Tesco Clubcard points doubling up - good or bad?

Just read on one of the websites that from Monday (17th August) Tesco will be doubling up the clubcard points on the shopping - both online and in-store. Thisin simple terms means that for every £1.00 spent in Tescos one will now earn 2 points instead of 1.

At first glance, I was happy to read this but then some of the critics say that in actual terms this is devaluing the tesco clubcard points. As of today, tesco clubcards can be converted into deals of up to 4 times with partner sites like Legoland tickets and Annual passes (www.tescoclubcarddeals.co.uk)

Will have to wait and see how this turns out to be - or whether this really is true....but one of the reasons I like Tescos is because of their clubcard loyalty scheme....

One year...

More than a year has passed since this last post - and what a year it has been. I had promised to follow up with more such tips for friends as I come across quite a few who haven't heard about ways and means to save money.

Just as an update to the last post - over the year I have found topcashback.com to be one of the better sites - it doesn't charge you for your earnings and there is no minimum for withdrawal of your earnings. There are some good offers on it as well - so that is probably my first choice these days.

In case this or the previous post has enticed you to join, just use the link http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/vikashjain so that I get some referral reward in the process of helping you save some money...:)
